They're about to begin renovations to allow the ruins to be reopened to the public, with works due to be completed in 2018. In the meantime Reading museum sometimes offer guided tours.

Don’t bother with the guided tour (11am on a Sat) - very uninspiring tour leaders. Instead do a self tour - lots of good signage

Closed since 2009. Hope they will reopen to the public someday.
